Training for trusted advisors

Recent research* with 100 private client advisors showed that 60% believe philanthropy will be a core service offered to clients within five years. But advisors feel inadequately equipped to discuss philanthropy with their clients.

NPC, in association with STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), is offering training on the essential elements of philanthropy advice to enable trusted advisors to better serve their clients.

The workshop will include sessions on:

  • Role of and benefits to the advisor in discussing philanthropy with clients
  • Types of support clients need
  • Practicalities of funding

Who should attend?
Private bankers, private client lawyers, multi family offices, accountants, IFAs
and any other trusted advisor to wealthy individuals and their families.

To ensure that the sessions are as interactive and personalised as possible, places have been limited to 15 participants. Attending this event will contribute 3.5 hours towards your structured STEP CPD requirement.

"Excellent half day.  Found it very useful and opened up a lot of questions in my own mind.  Very well presented.  It was good to have had the role plays - made it more interactive", comment from previous participant

After the course you’ll be able to:

  • Talk confidently to your clients about their philanthropy
  • Help clients achieve more impact with their giving
  • Take away practical tools to enable you to better support your clients

Download this brochure for more details on previous courses and a full outline of the sessions. The next date is 30 March 2010.

‘I helped set up New Philanthropy Capital because I knew there were other donors who thought like me. They too are passionate about generating a social return with their donations and want support to make this happen.'
